In my capacity as a Co-Chair of the FedCSIS Conference Series, I attended the FedCSIS 2017 multi-conference in Prague, Czech Republic, 3-6 September 2017. Apart from typical chair's duties like opening and closing ceremonies, I chaired a keynote talk by Zbigniew Michalewicz entitled "When AI meets Big Data".

The 6th edition of the Summer School on Data Science at Wroclaw University of Economics has began with 40 students representing 14 countries.

An IBM X-Force Command Center for cybersecurity was opened in Wroclaw on June 19th, 2017 I was invited to and participated in a panel discussion alongside Deputy Premier Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Vice Presidents cybersecurity in the U.S. and in Europe, General Manager IBM Poland and Baltics, and the representatives of the Polish government and parliament.

In my capacity as a PC Co-Chair, I attended the 12th International Conference on Software Technologies ICSOFT 2017. The conference took place in Madrid,  Spain, 24-26 July 2017. Apart from normal PC chair duties (opening and closing ceremonies; chairing a paper session; deciding on best paper awards), I moderated an ICSOFT panel entitled: "Issues and Controversies in Big Data and Machine Learning".

In my capacity as conference chairs, I attended the 12th International Conference on Evaluation of Novel Approaches to Software Engineering ENASE 2017 and the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Aging Well ICT4AWE. The conferences were held in Porto,  Portugal, 28-29 April 2017. Apart from normal conference chair duties 9Opening and Cloising ceremonies), I chaired an ICT4AWE panel entitled: "Business, Regulatory and Social Models for ICT-Assisted Healthier Aging. Why are we struggling?".
